Make no mistake, Portugal is a spiritual country, however biblical Christianity in Portugal is virtually non-existent. Centuries of Roman Catholicism married with Portuguese spiritism and witchcraft along with African mystic religions have made the spiritual climate in Portugal dark. While this description identifies the spiritual undercurrent it pales in comparison to the fastest growing "religion" among Portugal's youth; materialism.
